Since the Fall ImagineIT update, the 6th graders have been making steady progress on their use of technology to enhance science learning! Below is one group's stop motion video on the rock cycle!!
At the end of our fossil unit, student pairs investigated and identified an unknown fossil just like paleontologists. Students used slides to share their findings with the class.
We just completed our latest project on Plate Tectonics this week! Students selected a narrow topic from choices within broader topics: earthquakes, volcanoes, mountains, ocean floor, plate tectonics and earth's structure.
Students used videos and the FYI information on BrainPOP to build background on their topic. Pairs split up the task of researching and storyboarding to create their own original movie using the Make-a-Movie feature on My BrainPOP. Students enjoyed using the computer voice or their own voices to narrate their movies.
